ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION - ACEACE stands for Adult Christian Education at Life Center. This Sunday ministry of adult classes takes place between our two morning worship services in various locations at the church. We seek to provide biblically based studies and discussion that encourage spiritual growth and relate to living in our postmodern culture. The truth of Scripture needs to be expressed through our lives as an effective witness in contexts at home, work, school and recreation. ACE is the place to meet friends and grow in your faith!
ACE CLASS SCHEDULEMarch 2 – May 25, 2008, 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. Sanctuary Class Teacher: Marty Ure Location: Main Sanctuary Focus: The Apostles' Creed Join this enriching study that will explore an historic and notable Creed of the Church and its relevance for Christians today. Learn about the key elements of Christian belief that are summarized in this creedal statement, which is an integral part of corporate worship within many church traditions. How does it compare with the statement of fundamental truths in our faith group? This will be a great study and time of discussion in which you'll want to participate. The Explorers Class Teacher: Tom Brown Location: Sanctuary, Lower West Overflow Area Focus: Topical Bible Studies This spring quarter will feature two main areas of study for all ages: a nine week exploration of the Gospel in Romans and Galatians (March 2 – April 27); and a second unit focus on the book of Ecclesiastes (May 4 – May 25). The class will deal with Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam along with other religious faiths such as Mormonism, Scientology and new spiritualities prevalent in today's world. Young Adult Class Teachers: Nathanael and Candace Najarian Location: The Catacombs (Basement) Focus: World Issues and a Christian Response Don't miss this opportunity to explore and discuss current issues in our 21st century, postmodern culture with others, as viewed through the lens of Scripture. Adult Elective Class Teachers: Marcus Zimmer Location: Upper East Balcony Focus: How to be a Worshipper Everyone is welcome to come grow in your faith by exploring Biblical truths that show us what it means to be true worshipers of Christ.
